Enjoyed a stroll through Longwood, the Children’s Garden, seeing a dear old friend, and hot chocolate after!
Zinnia | Silver Spring, MD
I think I found my new favorite spot! One of the few downsides to moving the ‘burbs is the lack of unique restaurants that have that character and charm to stand out from the chains and big operations. I always loved this about DC. But Zinnia in Silver Spring has renewed my faith that they are out there! This spot has an adorable (and large) garden area, cozy tavern and beautiful dining area. I had lunch with a friend there and look forward to going back and trying dinner. The food is healthy and delicious! And lots of room for kids to run if you bring the fam. Definitely recommend!
Dumbarton Oaks | Washington DC
We checked out Dumbarton Oaks today and their beautiful grounds hidden in the middle of Georgetown. The gardens are free in the winter time, so it was a great way to get some fresh air right in the city!
