Courtney + David are MARRIED!

I was SO excited when Courtney and David asked me to photograph their wedding!  They have one of the most beautiful love stories that just make you believe in the power of love and redemption - and seeing them together and the love they share is truly inspirational.

Courtney and David knew each other in high school and have memories of arguing about music and kidding around, but never knew there was a future together.  David never even signed Courtney's yearbook.

Courtney and David reconnected at a high school reunion and soon realized there was something more there.  Courtney has two beautiful boys that instantly took to David and his love for them is as evident as his love for Courtney.  He engaged them in their decision to get married and proposed to them all together as a family.

And David was sure to sign Courtney's yearbook as a surprise gift to her at the wedding which was presented to her by her sons.

Courtney and David- thank you for sharing your inspiring love story and being such an example of what true love can look like!  It was an honor photographing your wedding and capturing the incredible love between you!

Always an honor to work alongside:

Wedding Day Tip: How to be a Hero

weddingtipbout It never fails to happen on wedding day- we’re rolling along with photos and it’s time to capture the groomsmen.  They are getting on their jackets, putting on their ties...(why do guys have it so much easier!!) but then the moment of realization- the boutonnieres!

We need them on for pictures!

All the guys stand in a circle like deer in headlights looking at the small flower and pins in fear and trepidation.

How on earth do you put that thing on?

So all eyes go to me–the photographer, who is trying to rally everyone to stay on schedule!   On the inside I'm thinking yikes! I didn't train for this part! But I figure it out and pin some boutonnieres!

So this post is more for me and my pin-stricken fingers (!) but if you find yourself playing any kind of role at a wedding, this is a way to be the hero and help put on some boutonnieres!
